FP211A - Function Point Analysis in Emerging Business Applications

Duration: 1-day format

Description: Today's function point analysts must be able to accurately apply IFPUG function point counting rules to a variety of software environments and technologies. This course will focus on function point analysis for today's emerging technologies, including the accelerating cloud computing eco-system.

This course will provide participants with the skills needed for today’s technologies.

Content: The following technologies will be covered in this session:

  • Multimedia
  • GUI (Graphical User Interface) – includes mobile and IoT devices
  • Rules Based – including Artificial Intelligence
  • Data Warehousing
  • Internet (includes cloud computing, IoT and blockchain)
  • Voice/Prompt response applications/projects

Format: This is a hands-on, interactive workshop based on examples and case exercises. Specific interpretations of the IFPUG CPM rules will be provided. 

The instructor/ facilitator Steven Woodward a recognized “IFPUG Fellow” with over 20 years of continuous CFPS certification.  He is currently the IFPUG Industry Standards Chair and is an International industry leader in value-focused ICT metrics initiatives for today’s complex innovative world.

IFPUG Certification Extension Credits: FP211A is a unique CEC eligible activity from FP211 and therefore attendance will be check-in and check-out to confirm attendance.  The attendee list will be provided to the IFPUG office for official record.
